The battery of the GEL series is intended, among other things, for: powering photovoltaic systems or vehicles where the battery is exposed to shocks and charging from impulse sources, e.g. solar regulators. Thanks to the design based on gel electrolyte, the GEL battery is ideal for cyclic operation even with deep discharges. It achieves several times more discharge cycles compared to batteries made with AGM technology. The designed service life is up to 12 years with balancing operation at 25 °C. - A GEL battery has a similar structure to an AGM battery, except that in a gel battery the electrolyte is stored in the form of a gel paste. Due to this design, it is characterized by better resistance to electrolyte leakage than AGM batteries - Automatic sealing system. When the pressure inside the accumulator is too high, the valves open, causing the resulting gas to be safely vented outside the case, preventing damage. This happens when the battery is overcharged - The battery case is made of ABS material, the cells are made of copper What devices are powered by GEL batteries? - Emergency power systems (UPS, converters) - Telecommunication systems - Closed TV systems - Alarm and fire protection systems - Backup and emergency lighting systems - Wind and solar power plants - Powering power tools - Power supply for medical technology - Electric vehicles (motorcycles, quad bikes, scooters) - Mobile vehicles (wheelchairs, golf carts, bodies) - Water vehicles - Forklifts - Garden vehicles (mowers, etc.) - Caravans Why use a GEL battery? - Very long service life (up to 12 years) and low self-discharge - Ability to work in a balanced and cyclical system - Maintenance-free - no need to top up or replace the electrolyte - Safe use (no electrolyte leakage, pressure valves) Technical parameters: - Nominal voltage: 12V - Nominal capacity: 140Ah - Total height: 233 mm - Height: 233 mm - Width: 172 mm - Length: 407 mm - Weights: 33.5 kg (73.85 lbs) ? 3% - Capacity (at 25°C) 20h (10.5V): 140Ah - Capacity (at 25°C) 10h (10.5V): 126Ah - Capacity (at 25°C) 3h (10.2V): 90Ah - Capacity (at 25°C) 1h (9.6V): 72Ah - Internal resistance (at 25°C): 3.9 m? - Capacity: (40°C):102% - Capacity (25°C): 100% - Capacity (0°C): 85% - Capacity (-15°C): 65% - Self-discharge (25°C) 3 months: 91% of nominal capacity - Self-discharge (25°C) 6 months: 82% of nominal capacity - Self-discharge (25°C) 12 months: 64% of nominal capacity - Recommended working temperature: 25 °C ? 3 °C - Operating temperature range - discharge: -15 °C to 50 °C - Operating temperature range - charging: -10 °C to 50 °C - Operating temperature range - storage: -20 °C to 50 °C - Buffer charging voltage (25°C): 13.5VDC-13.8VDC - Cyclic charging voltage (25°C): 14.4VDC-14.7VDC - Maximum charging current: 35A - Maximum discharge current: 1200A - Design life (25°C): 12 years
